Magnetic Island runs on carts and boats.
Magnetic Island is unlike anywhere else in our patch. Golf carts and small EVs do the work cars do on the mainland, boats matter more than utes, and everything corrodes faster. It is also the one place where getting a technician there takes planning.
The work round here.
Golf carts and EVs are the daily driver
Controllers, chargers, lighting, wiring and lithium conversions. We are the LVTong and Evolution dealer for North Queensland, so we know these vehicles rather than treating them as an oddity.
Lithium conversions worth doing
Replacing tired lead-acid with lithium roughly halves the weight, holds voltage under load and lasts far longer. On an island where a cart is genuine transport, that is a real difference rather than a novelty.

On-site or in the workshop?
Some jobs are better done where the vehicle is, and some are better brought to us. Gear that cannot move, fleet work and bigger jobs are the ones that suit a visit; a single small job — a battery, a globe, one connector — is usually sorted faster at the workshop. Ring us with what you have got and we will tell you honestly which way works out better.
Magnetic Island in our words.
Magnetic Island is mostly golf carts and marine, and both suffer badly from salt — including the cart and deep cycle batteries. Because visits are scheduled around the ferry we would rather hear about a small fault early and roll it into a planned trip than send someone across for an emergency.
